Personal Statement
Hi coaches! My name is Claire Steadman and I go to Lake Norman Charter, I’m class of 2027. I play for Carolina UVC 16 Open as a pin hitter, primary outside. I originally started playing volleyball when I was 8 years old and I enjoyed it so much, by the time I was in 7th grade, it was the sport I decided to focus on. I like volleyball because it’s fun, fast paced and I enjoy the team atmosphere. Through volleyball, I have learned perseverance, change is inevitable, that I can do more than I think I can and learning never stops. The greatest compliment I have received from my coaches is that I’m highly coachable and versatile. It has taught me so much and I am so excited to see where it takes me.
