My name is Sophie Lindberg, and I am part of the Class of 2023 at Shawnee Mission East High School in the Kansas City Metro Area. Starting swimming as an infant, I started competitive swimming at 8 and started swimming on a year-round club team at 12. I have had my fair share of leadership experience being the oldest of my 7 siblings and have carried over that leadership into other areas of my life, like holding an editor position on my school’s nationally recognized newspaper, making it into the high-level school orchestra as a sophomore, and making my school’s varsity swim team as a sophomore. I bring excitement and maturity to everything I do and make myself a role model to others. Being well-rounded is something I pride myself on, and I thoroughly enjoy every aspect of my busy life.
