Personal Statement
My name is Shawn Mantey. I am currently the goalkeeper of the U17 MLS Next team, Real Colorado, out of Centennial, Colorado. We are currently number one in our division with a record of 6-0-2. I will be a senior for the 2021-2022 school year attending Thunder Ridge High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. I ended my Junior year with a 4.0 GPA and have a cumulative 3.7 GPA. In college I am interested in studying nutrition and exercise science. I believe they will both lead to great careers but also help me become a better athlete. Although soccer is my primary focus, I am a hardworking person that believes being a well-rounded student-athlete is an important thing in life. My goal is to play soccer at the highest level in college with the hope and intention of playing professionally.
