Personal Statement
My name is Reese Japic and I am dedicated to excelling both on and off the court. I’ve been playing volleyball since 6th grade when I switched from soccer. I played most sports growing up but realized volleyball was my true love. I come from an athletic family—my two sisters (Chloe and Sydney) play DI soccer at Virginia and Alabama and my Dad played basketball in college, so I understand the dedication it takes to be a successful college athlete. When I’m not training, I spend my time volunteering with my Mom for National Charity League. I also like reading and listening to music. Volleyball has taught me the value of perseverance and resilience, and I am excited to continue pushing my limits. I want to play volleyball in college and I’m confident I can make an impact on any team I join.
