Laura Horvath

Hi, I'm Laura and I’ve been playing volleyball for about 6 years. Coming from an athletic family, I played many sports before finding volleyball- my passion. I grew up in Canada, but at 12, my family decided to move to Slovakia. Because of the big difference culturally, communication was definitely the hardest challenge I faced when starting with my new team. I believe that this experience makes me a strong candidate for a college-level team because no matter the circumstances, I'm committed to giving my best at every single practice and game, focused on team communication, open to new ideas, and I keep the energy up, having fun while doing so. I have a strong mentality, learn from my mistakes, and work hard to improve. I am extremely excited to continue my journey as a volleyball player.
