I first became interested in golf the summer before I started 7th grade by attending a golf camp and playing in one local tournament. I really wasn't hooked on the sport until the summer before I started high school when I decided that I wanted to make the varsity golf team. I took lessons and played in more tournaments and have played on the varsity team all four years of high school. I've also played in the State Golf Tournament all four years. My average tournament scores have continued to get lower over the past four years and finishing with an 85 average my senior year. I would like to play golf in college as it provides a chance to continue working on my game and is a terrific opportunity to be a part of a team and make new friends.
