Personal Statement
Hello my name is Hadden Muench (class of 2025). I play GK for Seattle United ECRL and Ballard High in Seattle. Academics are a top priority for me. Throughout my first two years in high school I have played ECNL/ECRL soccer while maintaining a 4.1 weighted GPA with multiple AP courses. I enjoy history and physics and am interested in quantum mechanics, nuclear physics, and business in college. My GK strengths are reactionary/technical saves, communication, coachability, and leadership. Throughout my 8 years playing with Seattle United I have had the privilege of regular GK training sessions. Rich Reece (University of Washington men’s soccer GK coach) and Kary Whitney (UW women’s GK coach) emphasize detailed handling and footwork fundamentals that are necessary to becoming a complete GK.
