Personal Statement
My name is David Candia Martinez. I am 17 year old. I was born in Colombia and for the last five years I have lived in the United States. I live along side my parents and 2 brothers. Ever since I can remember I have had a passion for soccer. I have played various positions: as a foward, midfielder and sometimes as a goalkeeper. The latter was the position my parents always prefered as it limited physical contact and hard falls. I have worked very hard to be my best self on the field everyday. I joined cross country to improve my stamina and resistance, I practice every morning with discipline, and do everything with the clear goal in mind of one day becoming a professional player in soccer league.
