Hi my name is Ria Furuta and I am 16 years old. I have an older brother who plays baseball at Transylvania. My father wrestled at Michigan State and my mother went to Columbia. I have a Siberian Husky whose name is Snowy. I am also a varsity swimmer and it keeps me in great shape for volleyball. Volleyball is my true passion and with the support of my coaches and teammates, I have been continuously improving every year. I started playing in a recreational league when I was 7 and fell in love with the game. It has been a dream of mine to be a collegiate athlete.
