Description
Last year, as a Sophomore, I earned the starting Varsity QB position in the fifth game of the season. In that game, I threw for 330 yards and 3 TDs against St Francis, a top WCAL opponent. The team made it to the CIF CCS Section Finals, and I finished the season with 1,979 yards passing, going 155-244 (63%) with 17 TDs. I was named to the WCAL All-League Team and the SF Standard’s All-Metro Team. I was also included in the SF Chronicle’s All-Metro Football Honorable Mention list. This year, under a new coaching staff, I led the team to 5 come-from-behind victories, all of which we won in the game's final minutes. In one of those wins, down by 14 with 5 minutes left, I orchestrated two drives: one resulting in a touchdown pass and the other in a rushing touchdown. A 2-point passing completion in the game's final minute secured the win. The team was a school record 3rd seed entering the CIF CCS Division I Playoffs. In the quarterfinal game, down by three, I threw a TD into the back of the end zone with less than 10 seconds left in the 4th quarter for the win. I finished the season with 1,634 yards passing, going 152-255 (60%) with 10 TDs. I was nominated to the Cal-Hi Sports All-State team.
