Gabriel Suarez – Full Soccer Collegiate Recruiting Bio (Class of 2026) Hi, my name is Gabriel Suarez, and I’m a junior at Regis High School in Manhattan, New York — one of the top-ranked Catholic, all-boys, and college preparatory schools in New York and the United States. I maintain a 3.8 GPA while balancing rigorous academics with an unwavering dedication to my growth as a soccer player. I’m proud of my Ecuadorian and Puerto Rican heritage, which fuels my passion, resilience, and drive to compete at the highest level. I currently captain Cedar Stars Academy North 08 NAL and also play for Javier Velasco Soccer Academy (JVSA) U17 UPSL. In 2025, I was selected to join the Tier 1 MLS NEXT team at NJ Football Club (NJFC) — the highest level within the club’s MLS NEXT program — and will begin competition in Fall 2025 and Spring 2026. As a player, I’m a versatile and intelligent playmaker with experience across midfield, wing, and outside back roles. I pride myself on controlling the tempo of the game, breaking lines with my passing, and creating scoring chances. I’m especially confident on my left foot, whether I’m switching the point of attack, delivering crosses, or pressing high in defensive transitions. I’m aggressive in 50/50s, committed to defending, and focused on making an impact in every phase of play.
