Last week girl’s high school action was highlighted by a trip North for St. Stephen’s/St. Agnes (VA), who defeated Manhasset (NY) on Friday before falling to St. Anthony’s (NY) on Saturday.Meanwhile, McDonogh (MD) and Garden City (NY) both remained undefeated, as did Moorestown (NJ). West Genesee (NY) also remained undefeated, winning twice last week to push their 2013 record to 10-0.This week features some great matchups with powerhouse teams....

Member Commitment: Brianna Sacks, Class of 2015, Massachusetts

Brianna Sacks (Niskayuna, New York/Niskayuna High School) has committed to play lacrosse at the University of Massachusetts.UMass, ranked 17th nationally in the most recent IWLCA Division I Coaches' Poll, is 7-2 thus far this season, including a 4-0 mark at home. The team, coached by Angela McMahon, competes in the Atlantic 10 Conference.Last season, UMass finished 19-2, reaching the first round of the NCAA tournament. They went undefeated in conference play at 7-0, and beat George Washington (semi-finals) and Richmond (finals) to win the A-10 Championship for the fourth consecutive season.
