9939_mugRiley Clark (Wayne, New Jersey/DePaul Catholic) has committed to play lacrosse at the University of Tampa.

Tampa competes at the DII level in the Deep South Conference. The Spartans finished the 2013 season with an 11-6 record.

A midfielder, Clark will bring an excellent scoring touch to Tampa. Offensively, he frees his hands very well and has a powerful outside shot. He can score in tight as well, showing good awareness and skill near the crease.

Defensively, he uses his athleticism well to stay with dodgers, and throws smart checks on the run.

Below is our Q&A with Jack, who discusses his experience using SportsRecruits.com.

Where have you committed to play college lacrosse?

I’m committed to the University of Tampa. Coach Whipple and the other coaches have been great and have worked hard to show me all the benefits that UT has to offer. The campus and lax facilities are as nice as any DI school I looked at. And what’s not to love about playing year round in great weather?

How was your SportsRecruits.com experience?

SportsRecruits.com was great and made it really simple and fast to contact every coach on my list as it evolved over two years. They stayed up to date with coaching changes in the offseason, which ended up being important in my search.

Was the SportsRecruits.com staff helpful to you throughout the process?

Yes, very helpful. From the first talk I had with Ryan [Nizolek] to the highlight videos and recruiting seminars – all the information I needed to make my final decision was only a click or call away.

What was the college coaches response to your profile and video?

The response I got from coaches was always positive. It’s so simple for them to use – just clicking the link and my return email is right in front of them.

How do you think SportsRecruits.com gave you an advantage over your peers?

I know guys using other services and all of them wish they used SportsRecruits.com once they saw my videos and profile. No one makes it easier.

Would you recommend SportsRecruits.com to a friend that wants to play college lacrosse? Does SportsRecruits.com work?

Yes I would recommend it to anyone. It’s easy to set up, easy to add information as you progress in your career and it works.

Thanks so much to Jack, and congratulations!

There are a number of ways SportsRecruits.com can assist its members. Aside from the quick access to college coaches – every DI, DII and DIII coach is a registered user – our staff can look at a member’s profile, transcripts and highlight reel to help guide the player in the recruiting process. Staffers are former collegiate lacrosse players who can help give a member an idea of the 20-30 schools to focus on.

SportsRecruits.com was started by two former Wesleyan lacrosse players and is staffed by former lacrosse players who played at every level – from Virginia to Monmouth to Wesleyan. Members deal with former college players when issues arise – players who have dealt with many of those same issues themselves.

The Fall is a great time to connect with your target list of programs after a crazy Summer. Call 212-414-8417 or email Ryan@SportsRecruits.com if you have questions about how to become a member.
