Personal Statement
Hello my name is Yasmin Burrell, Afro-Latina/Caribbean, Spanish speaking bilingual, attending St. John's College High School in Washington D.C. I play travel softball for DC Elite Nike RBI 18u as a Catcher/Short Stop/Utility. I love softball and look forward to continue my career as a collegiate athlete majoring in Sports Management. Some of my major accomplishments are: Junior Year - 1st Team WCAC All Conference, MVP and 2x DCSAA State Champion; Sophomore Year - Honorable Mentioned WCAC All Conference and DCSAA State Champion; and Freshman Year - 2nd Team All Montgomery County, MD. During the summer of 2023/2024, our travel team won the Mid-Atlantic Regionals and qualified to play in the Nike RBI World Series. I am also a proud recipient of the Jennie Finch Empowerment Award.
