Personal Statement
Hi, I’m Yarida De Leon, a Chilton HS junior, 4.0 scholar, and two-time All-State runner. I rose from JV freshman to varsity leader through faith, discipline, and a deep love for team camaraderie. Last year, I placed 12ᵗʰ at the Texas 2A XC State Meet and earned bronze in the 3200 m on the track. This season, I returned as regional silver medalist and qualified for state in three events (7ᵗʰ in the 1600 m, 4ᵗʰ in the 3200 m, and 8ᵗʰ in the 800 m). Off the track, I pursue dual-credit college courses, STEM certifications, and hold the #1 class rank. I live to learn, to lead, and to compete—and I’m eager to grow at the next level and help my future team succeed.
