Personal Statement
I was born in Ethiopia and at the age of 3, adopted and moved to the U.S. with my new family. I have been given many opportunities that I never thought would be possible. I have played a variety of sports but I have now focused my attention on volleyball. I was selected as first team all conference for my varsity high school volleyball team as a freshman and sophomore. I have played for the Colorado Juniors for 4 years, I am an all-around player and enjoy both outside hitting and defense. I am not the tallest girl on the court but I feel my athleticism and hard work allow me to be competitive and successful. I hope to play in college while continuing my education.
