Personal Statement
I'm Violette Zayas, a 5'9" setter, all around pin hitter and defensive specialist as a Junior at Alonzo and Tracy Mourning Senior High School in Miami, FL. Currently playing all around setter and right side for Boomers Volleyball Academy in Pompano, FL. I am also playing club beach volleyball with Fort Lauderdale United. I maintain a GPA of 4.7 while engaging in AP courses to push my academic boundaries. I received multiple awards last year 2023-24 including MVP for Volleyball, Player of the match 14 times, AP Environmental Science Outstanding Student, AP Human Geography Outstanding Student and Honor Roll. My design was selected for a mural wall at our school. I made the AVCA Phenom 2024 watch list, and received an award for All-Tournament Server at Capitol Hill Classic February 2025.
