Personal Statement
Hello my name is Vanessa Puerta. I've been playing soccer since I was 6 years old. For as long as I can remember, I've always had a passion for the sport. Maybe it's a cultural thing. My parents are of Colombian ethnicity. Soccer is always on at my house whether it's watching the English Premier League or watching the Colombian or United States national teams play. My goal is to play soccer at the College level. I am very proud of my education also and how important it is to keep up with my grades in order to play in College. I am a member of the honor society. I've been told that I'm a natural leader. My teammates chose me as the team captain, and it's something that I take great pride in.
