Personal Statement
My name is Valerie Mendoza, and I am a passionate softball player graduating in 2022. My primary position is catcher/ 3rd base. I live in Escondido, California and attend Mission Hills High School. As a softball player, I want to do my best to earn a softball scholarship for a school that fits my educational and athletic needs. I have a love for learning, academics are very important to me. I am a very diligent student. Come fall of 2022 I will be the first in my family to attend college. Once a week I have hitting lessons with Coach Bobby Labs. I also get catching lessons with Coach Eric Vega where we work on framing,blocking and throw downs. When I am not on the field, I spend a lot of time at the beach, visiting extended family and enjoy traveling.
