Tristan Wachtel

I was born in Ethiopia and came home with my father to the United States when I was 9 months old. From that moment on, my father has been, as he puts it, my number one fan. His love of athletics allowed me to experience almost every sport out there. Although I excelled in most of them and enjoyed all of them, lacrosse quickly became my passion. Catching, passing, scooping, and cradling came easily. But, the lacrosse IQ skills I developed kept my interest. When I scan the field with an eye for making fast and accurate decisions, I quickly and loudly share them with my fellow defensive men. My teammates and coaches have come to rely on me as a leader. I plan to continue developing my leadership skills on and off the field throughout my life.
