Personal Statement
My name is Trip Banta and I am a senior at Lake Country Christian School. I played varsity football and baseball my Freshman and Sophomore years receiving multiple awards, one being TAPPS Division III-District 2 Freshman of the Year. That same year I threw a no hitter in the first round of playoffs. Fall of my Sophomore year I torn my ACL playing football, keeping me out of baseball until my Junior year. Unfortunately, our season was cut short due to COVID-19 but I will be playing summer ball with the Fort Worth Cats, coached by Robin Thomas. When I am not training or playing baseball I enjoy going on the lake, fishing and golfing. I am in the National Honor Society and enjoy mentoring young kids.
