Personal Statement

My name is TJ Moreland and I am a multi-sport athlete at MHS. I play varsity football, and varsity basketball. Sophomore year, a pivotal moment was when our 4x4 relay team went to state and as the third leg on our team, we won 1st place. Being a State Champions was surreal and I felt a sense of pride and honor having represented my school and city successfully at the highest level in an athletic competition. The sport I love to play the most is basketball and my Freshman year; I received the Dist., Newcomer of Year award. Freshman & Sophomore year, I received 1st Team All-Conference. Junior year I received Dist. MVP, 1st Team All East TX, and 1st Team All Region. I am a disciplined individual and very aware of the importance of balancing my time that I need for my academics & athletics.
