Personal Statement
My name is Sophie Baumgart and I am an ECNL defender in the Southwest Conference. My goal is to play collegiate soccer after high school. I attend Faith Lutheran High School, a college prep school, where I have been the class vice president for the last 2 years and will be class president next year. I volunteer on the school's orientation crew for new students and have a 3.81 GPA (weighted). At Faith I play soccer and flag football. This year I was the starting right center back on the women's soccer team that made it to the Nevada 5A state championship. I have played club soccer for Heat ECNL G08 since I was 11. My team is in the very competitive Southwest conference. I typically anchor the defense as a center back, but have also played outside back and defensive mid.
