Sophia Waney

I was a high level, competitive gymnast solely focused on competing in college until Fall 2021 when I was diagnosed with a gymnastics ending injury. As a natural athlete and with doctor’s approval, I pivoted to soccer. Within less than a year of club ball, I progressed to a high level competitive team and aspire to play soccer at the collegiate level. I’m an effortlessly coachable player who is fearless, dedicated, and hungry, with a keen eye for reading plays. Additionally, I’m a supportive teammate and empathetic friend, who listens without judgement and is available whenever my friends need anything.; no one should be alone (F19HT).
