Sophia Minnion

I began playing lacrosse around 2nd grade. I mainly play attack. I am on Shoreham-Wading River Varsity lacrosse. I am a tenacious, aggressive, and diligent player. I have a considerable knowledge of game I.Q. and take pride in my stick work. I have confidence in switching hands, especially when dodging and searching for angles. I am a team-player, and strive to lift up my teammates on and off the field. Along with lacrosse, I am a varsity starter on my high school field hockey team. Some of my academic achievements include Outstanding Achievement in Social Studies, NYSHSAA Scholar Athlete for Fall of 2020, and the Presidential Academic Award. Overall, I enjoy having fun on the field and taking advantage of the opportunity to play and love this sport.
