Personal Statement
Hello! I’m Sofia Ortiz and I’m a right side hitter. I have had a volleyball in my hands since a young age as my mom played in high school and in university. I started playing volleyball formally in the eighth grade and I feel I have really grown and improved as a player in a short time. I most enjoy the friendships that I have made playing volleyball. Those relationships have been so rewarding. I have had many interesting life experiences including living overseas for seven years in Melbourne, Australia. Those experiences have helped me grow, mature, and be the best person I can be as well as be a better volleyball player and teammate.
