Simone Washington

Hi, I’m Simone Washington aka Simmies, Simba and Simonetta (from my Italian Nonna). I am an agile, dynamic, and speedy shortstop currently playing for SoCal Sting Thomas/Grimm in Irvine, CA. I am also an experienced 3rd baseman. I’ve learned and incorporated 2nd base and outfield to my game over the last year or so. I plan to study Human Services in college and become a Marriage and Family Therapist. I’m currently a peer counselor. I pride myself on being a positive and vocal leader on the field and in the dugout. Softball is a love language I share with my mom and two sisters who have all played. I am energized by it. I love to push and challenge myself to make the impossible plays possible. I love to paint and sketch. I may have sold a painting or two. I also love music.
