Welcome to my profile! My name is Sara Portela - I also go by Ashlyn. I am a 2023 recruit out of Derby, KS and I am proud to say that I have signed with Highland Community College in Highland, KS for my first two years of college softball. There are things about me that stand out above the rest...I am highly coachable, a great teammate, a responsible student and community individual, and the hardest worker you will find out there. Having raised and shown cattle weighing in at over 1,000lbs and goats in 4H, I know what hard work, commitment and responsibility is! I am a left/slap hitter and I throw right-handed. 2nd and outfield are my favorite positions, but I also play 3rd, some SS and catch.
