Personal Statement
My name is Sara Akins. I am a defensive specialist at Lafayette High School and a setter at Oxford Volleyball Club. I have been playing volleyball since the 6th grade and have been in multiple positions. I am told by my coaches that I have an amazing work ethic and positive attitude. I have been nominated for Mississippi 5a All-Region: 2nd Team. With my leadership skills I was voted Captain for my high school team in 2022. In school, I am apart of Nationals Honors Society and have a 4.1 GPA. I am apart of multiple extracurriculars such as; Lafayette High School Varsity Soccer, New Prospect Youth Minister, YoungLife, and work at Mtrade Park.
