Samantha McInturff

I began playing lacrosse in 4th grade and have not put my stick down since. As a starting varsity freshman, I was versatile and rotated between midi, attack, and defense. Being a multi-sport athlete I have had many setbacks but my hard work and dedication is what has kept me coming back stronger than ever. From 7th to 9th grade I competed in 4 events in track. This past year I had an injury causing me to sit out from track. I stayed active in the sport and created a new role on the team as a team manager this taught me that being a team player doesn’t always mean you’re the one competing. Off the field I volunteer in different areas at my church, I help out as a youth lacrosse coach, and became a youth lacrosse official.
