His ability to fire rockets past the goalie from distance is remarkable. He will crank from deep with either hand. Keating is shifty and will run through checks. That combination enables him to get past the initial defender and create scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates. As a sophomore, Keating posted 40 goals and 30 assists as he helped push Marple Newtown to the 2A state championship. Keating is a multi-sport athlete who is a three-year starter in lacrosse and a standout on the hoops court, too.
