Personal Statement
My name is Ruth Ziegler and I live in Gurnee, Illinois. I currently play middle blocker for Sky High Volleyball Club on the 16 Elite team out of the Lake Barrington, Illinois location. I just finished my sophomore year in 2021-2022 at Warren Township High School. I watched my older sister play volleyball since I was three years old. I started to play club volleyball when I was eight years old. I love to be a part of a team, to be competitive, to work hard to get better, and to represent my family, club and school. I have been doing Strength and Conditioning. I really like it and feel like it is adding to my game. Outside of school and volleyball, I like to bake (I’m known for my chocolate chip cookies), to do different kinds of crafts, and to play with my dog.
