Riley Mattson

I am a hardworking player who focuses on continuous improvement, always applying my coaches’ feedback to my game. As a high school varsity freshman, I started every game playing mostly Attack, but also have the versatility to play Midfield when needed. My coach once described me as “a player that does what it takes to get the win, not being afraid of the moment, taking on any challenge that comes her way.” I’ve been taught to play in sync with my team, focusing on winning, and there’s nothing more satisfying than when that rhythm kicks in and the team runs down the field for a goal. Challenging myself academically, I get good grades with the goal of attending a college where I can combine academic excellence with what I love to do best—win and learn with each lacrosse game that I play.
