Personal Statement
Hi Coaches! My name is Phoebe O'Connor, class of 2029. I fell in love with softball as soon as I started playing at age four. I have aspired to play at a high level in college ever since watching Odicci Alexander lead the JMU Dukes to the semi-finals of the WCWS in 2021. I am primarily a pitcher, and I train at Planet Fastpitch in their Varsity School Program. I also play centerfield and shortstop, though I am willing to play anywhere my team needs me. I love competing on game day, but I enjoy practices, training, and going to the gym just as much. On the field, my coaches and teammates would describe me as an aggressive player who loves the game, and brings a level of focus but fun. Off the field, I enjoy hanging out with friends, playing volleyball, hiking, and reading.
