Personal Statement
Hi! My name is Payton Van Zile – I am a defender for the Sky Walkers 2027 Blue team and a student-athlete at The Bryn Mawr School. I have been a member of the SW Blue team since 6th grade, and in addition to playing lacrosse, I am a dedicated cross-country and track runner and a diligent and driven student who strives for success in the classroom. On the field, I am a coachable athlete and a selfless team player. I am primarily a defender, and I use my speed in the midfield to successfully clear the ball to our offensive end. I play with intensity and grit, and I am always hungry to cause turnovers, shut down the 1v1, and be ready to slide on defense. My goal is to continue my academic and lacrosse career at the Division I collegiate level!
