Payson Hedges

I first discovered my love of lacrosse in 3rd grade. I really love the competitiveness of the sport. I play for the Long Island Yellow Jackets. I made the Varsity lacrosse team my freshman year. In the off season, I played basketball on the JV team as a freshman but was called up to Varsity for the playoffs. Being a dual athlete helps me stay in shape and taught me time management skills. I maintain a 4.0 GPA and have earned honor roll every quarter while in high school. Through lacrosse, I have learned how to make friendships, to be part of a team, to work hard, to be respectful and how to be humble. These attributes have helped me to achieve my goals both academically and athletically. My goal is to continue this worth ethic as I play at the collegiate level.
