“Let me tell you the secret that has led to my goal. My strength lies solely in my tenacity.” - Louis Pasteur In first grade I was diagnosed with dyslexia. A year later I picked up a volleyball. These experiences have taught me persistence and perseverance. I spent over four hundred hours putting in extra work learning to read. I continue to put extra effort in to maintain A’s and B’s while balancing an intensive volleyball schedule. This sport has taught me perseverance through learning different positions and overcoming challenges adjusting to new club teams when my family moved for my dad’s job. I love the challenge of volleyball and the rewards that come from learning the game. I look forward to finding the school and team that allow me to continue my volleyball journey.
