Personal Statement
I started playing volleyball at age 10, where I fell in love with the game. Over the years, I have worked hard at all aspects of the game but finally settled on the setter role. I have earned a High School Varsity Volleyball letter as both a 9th & 10th grader, and was named a team captain this season as a Junior . I have run both a 5/1 and 6/2 offense and I’m comfortable with both. I feel I’m a natural leader and have also been selected as a captain for my last 3 club teams. I am a determined, hard worker, constantly trying to improve my game on the court and in the weight room. I also strive for excellence in the class room and have obtained 4.0 unweighted GPA. I feel I have the work ethic, talent and volleyball IQ to meet the demand expected of college athletes.
