Hello, my name is Nerea Gutierrez. I'm originally from Germany, but I'm currently going to Saint Andrews. I never planned on being a swimmer, but over time I discovered my love for swimming, especially because the sport not only helps me develop as an athlete but also makes me grow as a person. There were moments when I struggled a lot, but I learned to get back up again and fight through even when things get difficult. I joined the SA swim team this year and it was the best decision of my life. I enjoy practice so much and I love the team and family I got. Having people around you that support you, cheer you up but also tell you when you are doing something wrong definitely made me improve my swimming even more.
