Personal Statement
I have always been the 1st player to show up to practice and the last to leave. I woke up at 4:30 am three times a week during my school season to lift because I hated running out of hours in the day to do it since I was going to practice, doing homework, and being with my family. This is how I have always been, although I definitely had some missteps. Unfortunately, a serious MCL injury at the first tournament of my junior summer presented itself as a huge obstacle. And while this injury, destroyed me mentally and physically, I am also grateful that it helped renew my passion for this game once again. I realized the lasting impact softball has left in my life, which lit a fire in me. I need to play, and I won’t stop trying to play at the next level until I am satisfied with my efforts.
