Personal Statement
My brothers, both DI collegiate heavyweight rowers, encouraged me to play lacrosse. My mother suggested to my U12 town coach to try me out at defense due to my experience with soccer and basketball. I played defense the remainder of that season. I registered for the NH Tomahawks tryouts, also per my brothers' advice, a day before registration closed. Confused about which position to try out for, since I had so little experience at defense, I picked the position with the least kids--defense. I had no long pole. Now I do.
