Personal Statement
My name is Mia Winkelmann. I’m currently 13 years old. I started playing competitive soccer in 2018 at age 6. I played 3 seasons with Freeport Soccer Club. In 2021 I joined Rockford Raptors. 2023-24 was my first season on ECNL and I’ve enjoyed the fast paced play that this league brings. In fall/winter of 23-24 I also participated in the Illinois Olympic Development Program and was recently selected for the 2011 Illinois State Team. Illinois won the Far West Championship in Mesa, AZ/Jan 2025. It was an unbelievable experience. I’ve really enjoyed the additional training from ODP and meeting players from different clubs in Illinois.
