Personal Statement
Hello! My name is Maura Read. I am a Junior at Archmere Academy where I play 2 sports (field hockey and lacrosse), am an editor for the School Newspaper, and am a leader of the Community Service Club where I visit local community centers/shelters. In my 2023 High School season, I scored 22 goals and 9 assists, led my team in points, and was ranked in the top 35 players in Delaware. I also received 1st Team All-State and 1st Team All-Conference awards. In my 2022 High School field hockey season, I contributed 14 goals and 8 assists, received 2nd Team All-Conference (youngest recipient on my team), and our team competed in the State Championship. Outside of school, I also enjoy competitive Irish Dance!
