Personal Statement
My name is Matthew Shampine and I am a RHP/IF from Waterford, CT. I am a competitive, high-energy student athlete and leader who excels in the classroom and on the field. I play three varsity sports - baseball, basketball, and soccer. Baseball is my passion because I love that there is so much to think about with each pitch, and working together as a team toward a common goal. What is unique about me is that I started school early, so I just turned 16 in July 2024 but I am going into my senior year. I already excel in higher age groups and I still have more room to grow physically as an athlete. I love working on my craft in order to improve and I will continue to work hard for your team!
