Personal Statement
My name is Matthew Tafuri and I am from Cedar Grove, New Jersey. As a child, I always wanted to be the one who steps up or the one who brings people up. The way I contribute this to the world or to other people is through sports, but mainly baseball. I enjoy helping rather than hurting, as I always do my best to bring up the energy, help my teammates have the next play mindset, or that there will always be another shot at it. I have always enjoyed chasing down a fly ball, stealing that base, or trying to get two on that hard ground ball down the line. I love to use my speed as an advantage.
