Personal Statement
Volleyball has been a part of my life over several years. It was my mother's love of the game that inspired me. Fortunately I have a younger sibling that shares this same passion and pushes me to higher limits on the court. This sport has taught me many of things both on and off the court. On the court, I practice humility and strive to be a stronger athlete for the better of the team. My understanding of the game and my goals on the court are always clear. Off the court, it has taught me perseverance. As much effort as I put into this sport, I know I have to place an equal amount of dedication to academics. Although I know this game will not be a lifetime for me, I know that it will play a large role in opening up the doors to a lifetime of opportunities.
