Mary Maher

I have played lacrosse since fifth grade, and have had to hurdle obstacles throughout my career on more than one occasion. From getting injuries that put my season on hold, to questioning if I really wanted to keep playing after practices and workouts left me sore and unable to walk up the stairs, my journey to this point has not been entirely smooth. However, when the whistle blows, every obstacle I've faced becomes fuel as I put every ounce of focus, skill, and strength into playing MY game. If there is one thing I've learned about lacrosse in my years of playing, it's that lax isn't supposed to be easy. You shouldn't come out of a game or a practice without a few bumps and bruises because they show that you left all you had out on the field, and in the end, that's what really counts.
