Personal Statement
I’m originally from Japan but live in Houston. In the last two years, I’ve significantly improved my volleyball skills and game strategy. I’m dedicated to constant improvement, training independently to refine my technique.My love for the sport pushes me to seize every chance to get better. Years of gymnastics and ballet have equipped me with discipline, athleticism, and mental toughness, which I apply on and off the court. As a straight A, AP student in the top 8% of my class, I excel in both academics and sports. For the 24-25 season, I’m a DS/Libero for HS Varsity and for TUV’s top team, 17 Red. I’m eager to contribute to a university team and believe that my determination and love for volleyball will make me a valuable asset.
