Personal Statement
Hello! My name is Makayla Kurcoba, and I am a TLC 2026 Red Team defender. I am entering my Junior year at Perry Hall High School, where I am a member of the Homeland Security Program. I have a rigorous course load of GT, AP, and college-level classes. I am a Varsity Field Hockey team member and was JV captain in 9th grade. I was also a member of the Varsity Lacrosse team, where I started every game and made All Baltimore County as a defender during my freshman and sophomore years. I enjoy in and off-season workouts at Coppermine Athletic Club with Coach Nik Farmer. As the youngest of three children, my siblings challenge me and push me to become a better version of myself. My club director, Mike Farrell, describes me as being "a natural born defender".
