Personal Statement
My name is Mackenzie Palumbo, and I’m currently on Mintonette’s m.72 team as the starting Right Side. I also play for Dublin Jerome High School and was a starting Outside for the Varsity team both my Freshman and Sophomore years. Although I enjoyed other sports (soccer, softball, tennis and basketball) growing up, volleyball is my favorite; and I want to play it in college. In 2023, my team won the 15s Open AAU National Championship and came in 2nd at the 15s Open USAV National Championship. I learned so much from it as I transitioned from playing Middle to Pin in Club! I always work hard to improve my game as well as my leadership skills on and off the court. Some of my best friends are my teammates. I’m also a successful honors student and hope to pursue a degree in engineering or law.
